In this photo gallery there are photos on many different topics, but all photos are black and white or monochrome.
But my photographic focus is on things and people from my immediate environment. I am not interested in the zeitgeist, not in the mainstream, not in fashion - I photograph objects and creatures that I find exciting. I use thrifty and minimalist image editing.
I have been photographing - intermittently - for over 40 years. As a 10-year-old, I had a Kodak Instematik 220 and took one or two usable pictures with it. At the age of 22, I bought my first SLR camera and had access to a black and white lab where pictures were taken in the classic way with chemistry and photo paper.
Today I shoot only digitally and do the monochrome conversion on the computer.
